Online 50/50 Fundraising

Hello, RODS families!
We are ready to kick off an exciting new fundraising opportunity for you and for the club! To keep things safe and distanced we have decided to do an ONLINE 50/50. There is no ticket or money collection, it is easy to send the information to families and friends and the jackpot can be seen online in real-time as it grows! PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY AS IT HAS IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR YOU.
We are using Echolotto for this fundraiser, which provides a secure, licensed platform for selling raffle tickets.

“The mechanics of our raffle:
- We create a website for you branded to your organization.
- You promote that website, and people buy electronic tickets using their own devices. Phone, computer, tablet - anything connected to the internet. Tickets are delivered via email.
- The pot goes up in real-time, the timer goes down, and at the end, the system picks a winner.
- Our raffles can be eligible for the SLGA Charitable Gaming Grant
We charge a one-time, $200 setup fee, and then 8% of total sales per raffle and $0.20/transaction. There is no setup fee on any additional raffles.
The setup fee is upfront but the remainder is all invoiced based on the performance of the raffle, so it's a pretty low-risk option to try out!”
We are going to try this as an option and see how successful it is. The winner takes 50% of the gross total, the club will take 25% of the net total and the parents will take 25% of the net total, after the Echolotto fees. This will work out to about 20% for you and 20% for the club. Remember, the $200 fee is a one-time fee. It is equivalent to what it would cost us to print tickets. The next time we run this raffle this won’t be applied.

This is the first time we are trying this and we are doing our best to get you some fund-raising dollars, as well as give the club a boost. Echolotto is a business and needs to make some money. We are also a business and need to make some money. Swimming is expensive so you need to make some money too.
We will have 4 ticket prices - 1 for $5, 3 for $10, 10 for $20 and 30 for $50

Note: Those purchasing tickets need to be in “Regina and surrounding area”. They don’t need to live here but need to be in this area at the time of purchase, as Echolotto will require Location Services to be on. As long as they are in the city when they purchase the tickets, it’s fine. This is per SLGA regulations. As well as Regina, this includes Grand Coulee, Pilot Butte, and Emerald Park.
Also, note, and this is very important - when you send this information to your friends and family please tell them to put your swimmer’s name in the blank space that will be on the ticket. That is the only way you will receive credit. Those tickets left blank will go towards general credit for the club.
