Para-Olympic Programs

The Jr RODS offer two levels of swimming opportunities for athletes who may wish to pursue the sport of swimming to its highest levels. Swimmers from these classes may be identified to move into competitive programs, if they wish to go further in the sport, where there are many opportunities to take the athlete to the highest levels of competition.

SWID

Swimmers with an Intellectual Disability (SWID). The RODS SWID program offers an introduction to the sport of speedswimming. This precompetitive class will provide swimmers with an opportunity to learn swimming technique and to increase their general fitness levels. The sport of swimming allows for opportunities to SWID swimmers right from beginner up to elite athlete.

SWAD

Swimmers with a Physical Disability (SWAD). The RODS SWAD program offers an introduction to the sport of speed swimming. This precompetitive class will help swimmers increase their personal fitness, stroke technique and racing skills. The sport of swimming allows for opportunities to SWAD swimmers right from beginner up to elite athlete.

Sessions:

SWID-HIGH SCHOOL Age: 14 - 18.
Commitment: 1 hour long class per week.
Days: Mondays
Times: 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Cost: $135.00/12 week session
