Gold Medal for Qing at Can/AM Para Swimming
Dec 8th- 10th RODs Michael Qing was in California swimming in the Can- Am Swimming Championship. A total of 176 swimmers from 11 different countries took part in this meet in La Mirada, California. The top para swimmers from these 11 countries were at the meet making for some very fast racing! This was an excellent chance for the swimmers to race the top swimmers in the world as they prepare for Olympic Trials this spring and then the Paralympics.
Michael swam 5 events and placed top 7 in his class in all of them. Mike swam at or faster than his personal best in 4 out of the 5 events and finished off the weekend by winning the 100 Fly in the last race of the meet!
