Cassandra Brassard, 15, won three gold medals and a bronze medal in the Western Canadian Champs competition in Kamloops, British Columbia, breaking many provincial records. She placed 19th in the Summer National Championships in Pointe Claire, Quebec, against 74 other swimmers, and won three gold medals and a silver medal at the Age Group Championships in Montreal, Quebec. She also won a bronze medal at the Western Canada Games in Kamloops, British Columbia. She placed 7th, 13th, and 16th at the Canada Cup in Toronto, Ontario, and placed 5th, 6th, and 7th at the Paul Bergen Junior International competition in Portland, Oregon. In this competition she competed against all star teams from France, Germany, and Ontario. Cassandra was also selected to the Swimming Canada National Development ID Teams, meaning she was the fastest swimmer in Canada in her age category. |
